Our company serves commercial embroidery businesses, mainly in the Chicago Tri-State Area but also in the rest of the Midwest region.
Our Founder – Charles Woodhead
Charles is an Irish immigrant who has had knowledge and experience in the industry for more than 35 years. He supervised a plant with around 120 workers in 1988. Starting in 1990, he got more involved in embroidery's technical, mechanical, and electrical aspects.
Charles became a technical support engineer for a distributor in a 13-state region and was involved in consulting, training, and repairing for a broad range of production sites. He serviced a full line of Melco and Tajima single and multi-head machines for over six years.
Over the next seven years, Charles worked with two large garment manufacturers overseeing their plants. He also acted as an advisor for their off-site production facilities.
Starting a Reliable Business
In 1997, CPW Services Inc was formed on a part-time basis. Charles worked hard to grow our customer base by offering after-hour and weekend services.
By building a good reputation, our company gained more and more referrals. In November 2004, Charles changed to full-time operations and met our customers’ growing needs.
Developing Good Partnerships
In October 2005, Barudan USA invited us to train and certify their line of machines and software, which were re-certified in August 2012. In April 2006, SWF hired us as certified technicians to repair, install, and train their full line of machines.
Meistergram approached us in 2009 for assistance certifying their line of embroidery products. It included both repair and training on their machines and software. In 2010, Toyota asked us to join their ranks. We now hold A+ certification to repair and train on their machines and software.
In 2007 I was approached by Ricoma to get certified on their current machines.
